Valuemed is proud to announce the launch of our first
made-in-Alberta line of PPE, the Truly Canadian Series medical face masks. By controlling more of the supply chain in Canada, our Truly
Canadian masks are a “made-in-Alberta” solution that is key to addressing the
quality concerns of foreign produced face masks that were seen this past
spring. Thanks to our Albertan factory partners, we are able to uphold the
quality of our masks, evolving and meeting any design changes quickly and
efficiently. This ability is paramount to the overall value formula and the
protection of our healthcare workers.
Please see our official press release for more details.

Dear Valued Professionals,
Thank you for all your efforts to keep Canadians healthy and
safe. Frontline workers - Caregivers, nurses, physicians, dentists, hygienists,
first responders, paramedics, and practitioners of all disciplines, we are so
proud to be a part of your world at all times and especially now. For
those who are now about to open up your businesses and continue in your
professional practices we want to help you too.
At Valuemed, we are ramping up our services to serve you as
you ramp up your practices and require new items as well as the routine needs
for your practices. PPE and other products demands continue to keep the
supply chain fulfillment challenged. If everyone works together, we will have
adequate amounts for everyone to be able to work and stay safe. For the time
being we have streamlined some skus for easy ordering and filling. Please
order the products you need by description and we will be able to match you to
the best available option. As with all shortages we are seeing, prices rise as
we acquire the products needed. We expect this will continue throughout
this year and into next until more manufacturing is operating and able to
support the North American needs. In the meantime we have sourced many
Made in Canada options including reuseables to support our valued clients at
this time. There are still no returns on PPE at this time.
I would like to express our thanks to the couriers,
trucking companies, and all transportation groups who support Valuemed
throughout the years but especially at this time when we know how challenging
going from place to place has been and continues to be throughout the Covid 19
pandemic. To show our appreciation we have been creating and sharing with our
drivers Wellness Kits containing masks, gloves, and hand sanitizers. We
appreciate all you do to move products from manufacturers to Valuemed and then
on to our valued clients. We hope these products will help you to stay well
too.
Stay well and safe. Candi Johnson

Dear Valued Customer,
We’re writing today to share some updates about how Valuemed is currently responding to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Our
healthcare professionals are extremely important to all of us at all
times but particularly now we are shifting our emphasis of supply of the
essential products that will keep our frontline healthcare workers
protected, safe and fulfilled with products needed to care for all the
acute healthcare needs and frontline prehospital and law enforcement
agencies. This also extends to community shut in groups such as LTC and
other communal living facilities. Many non frontline healthcare or
personal orders are being cancelled at this time. The supplies are
limited and are being allocated so that there is enough to carry our
populations through the critical times to keep essential services
operating. Please understand this unprecedented step is to ensure we
have done our part to serve as many as we are able.
- While current demand for certain product categories – things like
PPE, Hand sanitizers, Surface disinfectants, non-contact and fast-read
thermometers, thermometer sheaths, and disposable stethoscopes, for
example – is outpacing supplies, we have been working with some
interruption to fulfill orders as completely and quickly as possible. All PPE sales are final.
- We’re communicating daily with our supply chain, as well as other
manufacturing partners, to track issues that might impact current and
future stock. When possible, we’re expediting factory orders, and have
moved many to air shipping to reduce timelines.
- Some items are on backorder. For items that are in stock but in
short supply, we will continue to allocate inventory. We also need to
limit rush orders.
- To protect operations while keeping our employees healthy and safe,
we’re following all relevant PHAC and provincial MOH guidelines. For
office staff, those who can work from home are doing so. For our
distribution personnel – those charged with moving and shipping the
supplies and equipment that’s needed in the field – we’ve made
workstation adjustments and have added shifts to create more physical
space in accordance with social distancing recommendations. We are doing
everything we can to meet your needs and minimize delivery disruptions.
Still, given the extraordinary circumstances and our new staffing
models, orders might take a little longer than usual to process and
ship. We appreciate your patience and patronage during this time of
transition.
Please continue to reach us through our sales@valuemed.ca for orders
and inquiries, payments and invoicing issues now need to be sent to a
new email at payments@valuemed.ca to streamline our operations. Other
accounting issues remain sent to accounting@valuemed.ca .
Thanks, as always, for your support. Please take care and stay safe.

March 16, 2020 - Delivering Better Value During Times of Uncertainty
As you are aware Covid-19 continues to impact populations and markets
around the world. This situation is evolving every hour, and I want to
assure you
that we will remain available to serve our clients. We continue to put
in place new measures based on all recent developments to protect the
health and safety of our employees, our customers, and the communities
we serve. Here is a summary of measures that we have currently in
place:
Effective immediately our phone lines will not be answered directly for
order placement or inquiries. Our customers are asked to use our
website
www.valuemed.ca to communicate
as well as email sales@valuemed.ca, and fax at 780-454-6420. For
payments please contact by email accounting@valuemed.ca and fax
780-454-6420. This has been an unusual step for our business but be
assured we are open for business and our representatives will be
reaching out to you to respond to your inquiries and needs. This will
allow our staff to respond to the inquiries in a more timely manner than
we had been able to do with telephone inquiries.
Our supply chain continues to be refilling and we continue our
allocation of infection prevention products on an allocation and
priority basis. It is our Mission to Provide Better Value to all
healthcare professionals who serve the Canadian Healthcare Market.
We are enacting our Business Continuity Plans following the Public
Health Agency of Canada and appreciate your patience and continued
business.
More information will be posted to our website as it changes.
