- The male and female urethra during cystoscopy, catheterization, exploration by
sound and other endourethral operations
- Nasal and pharyngeal cavities in endoscopic procedures such as gastroscopy and
bronchoscopy
- Proctoscopy and rectoscopy
- Tracheal intubation
