3M™ Solventum Silvercel™ Hydro-Alginate Antimicrobial Dressing with Silver

Manage moderately to heavily exuding chronic and acute wounds with the 3M™ Solventum Silvercel™ Hydro-Alginate Antimicrobial Dressing with Silver. Designed specifically to combine optimal moisture management with broad-spectrum infection control, this advanced non-woven wound dressing utilizes high-absorbency alginate, carboxymethylcellulose (CMC), and elemental silver-coated nylon fibers.

Whether used for pressure injuries, diabetic foot ulcers, venous leg ulcers, or surgical wounds, Silvercel™ delivers reliable, long-lasting protection while supporting an optimal moist wound environment essential for effective healing.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Sustained Antimicrobial Action: Formulated with elemental silver to provide continuous release of silver ions within the dressing. Effective against a broad spectrum of wound pathogens—including MRSA, MRSE, and VRE—for up to 7 days.
  • Superior Fluid & Exudate Management: High-G alginate and CMC fibers quickly absorb and retain large volumes of fluid, reducing the risk of maceration and periwound skin breakdown even under compression.
  • Enhanced Wet Tensile Strength: Retains structural integrity and increases tensile strength when wet, allowing for simple, one-piece intact removal without leaving fibers or residue behind in the wound bed.
  • Conformable & Versatile Design: Soft, non-woven composition easily contours to deep or irregular wound beds and can be cut or folded to fit target dimensions.

Indications for Use

  • Pressure Ulcers / Pressure Injuries
  • Diabetic Foot Ulcers
  • Venous Leg Ulcers
  • Surgical and Traumatic Wounds
